The world's largest LoRaWAN conference, "The Things Conference on Tour", has previously paid a visit to both Slovenia, England, India, and Australia and now the next stop is Denmark. The LoRaWAN-conference will be a part of EOT - Electronics of Tomorrow which takes place in MCH Messecenter Herning from 31 August - 2 September 2021. Here leading experts will give a thorough insight into the potentials of the LoRaWAN-technologies through both exhibition, presentations and workshops.
Industry profiles at EOT
The conference programme will be announced continuously, but the first keynote speakers on "The Things Conference on Tour" will be from the global IC company, Semtech. The industry experts, who will guest EOT, are Richard Lansdowne and Carlo Tinella - each will offer a valuable insight into their knowledge within the LoRaWAN protocol. Other tech companies such as Tektelic and Force Technology will also be a part of the conference programme.
- Having "The Things Conference on Tour" as a part of EOT is really a scoop - and we are honoured that Semtech is sending two of their biggest profiles to Denmark, says the co-founder of Indesmatech, Søren Manicus, who is a part of the development group behind EOT.
- EOT is already unique with its combination of conferences, exhibition, workshops and networking, but the addition of "The Things Conference on Tour" provides an opportunity to gain a more thorough technological and commercial insight into the development of the LoRaWAN protocol which worldwide is experiencing a significant growth these years.
The latest edition of "The Things Conference" took place online in week 4, and the conference in Herning will therefore be the first opportunity to experience the keynote speakers physically this year - given there is no travel restrictions by that time.
EOT - Electronics of Tomorrow can be experienced in MCH Messecenter Herning from 31 August - 2 September 2021. The visitors can look forward to networking with companies and participating in different conferences concerning 5G, artificial intelligence, security, green innovation and much more. The exhibition is arranged by MCH Messecenter Herning in cooperation with the industry and the organizations; The Danish Society of Engineers IDA, PE Professionel Elektronik and DI Digital, while "The Things Conference on Tour" is arranged in cooperation with Indesmatech, Aarhus University and ITU (IT University of Copenhagen).
What is LoRaWAN?
LoRaWAN is an abbreviation for "Long Range Wide Area Network". In other words, an IoT-network with a long-range communication link based on the LoRa-technology.
LoRaWAN is a long-range global network standard which is used in many IoT-networks worldwide. It is the foundation of a wide range of IoT-apps within monitoring and administration of energy, surveillance, optimization, environment control, ecosystems and infrastructure among others.
LoRaWAN is used to a great extent in Denmark both in the public sector (municipal) and private IoT solutions.
