At havde styr på produktkrav er ikke noget nyt for elektronikproducenter der i længere tid har mødt flere og flere krav til deres produkters sikkerhed for brugerne og omgivelserne. Nyere i denne kategori er cyber- og informationssikkerhed. Her er der de seneste kommet en lang række krav i EU som produkter og producenter skal leve op til gennem nye og reviderede direktiver og forordninger. Men hvordan skal man gribe dette an og hvordan forholder man sig til resten af verden? At komme ind på det militære marked kræver mere end almindelig produktkvalitet. Det er en kompleks verden fyldt med krav til bl.a. EMC, miljø, sikkerhed og dokumentation – ofte defineret i standarder som MIL-STD, STANAG og DEF-STAN. I dette indlæg giver vi et første indblik i nogle af disse krav med fokus på EMC, og hvordan de militære test adskiller sig fra de civile. Vi kommer også kort ind på mere specialiserede områder som High Power Microwave (HPM), Nuclear EMP (NEMP) og TEMPEST – testtyper med særligt høje tekniske og sikkerhedsmæssige krav. Emnet er stort og komplekst, og formålet her er ikke at give hele svaret, men at åbne døren på klem til en verden med både store muligheder og store forpligtelser.

In the future, many of the devices we use today will require a secondary connection as a backup channel or needed for mission-critical applications. This may be necessary, for example, if the network infrastructure is down due to outages, software failures, or a lack of 5G or internet connectivity. The mobile phone is a good example of an increasingly critical device that may need a secondary communication channel when 5G or other internet access is unavailable. In emergency situations—such as when base stations are offline—or simply when one is in a basement in a city center where phones often don't work today, a secondary long-range connection directly between a group of phones could be a viable solution in the future. The latest generation of LoRa/FLRC technology is one potential option for these types of applications.

Traditional LoRa-based wireless solutions often rely on single-hop communication models, limiting scalability, increasing energy consumption at the edge, and reducing network reliability in dynamic or obstructed environments. NeoMesh on LoRa introduces a paradigm shift by combining the robustness of true mesh networking with the long-range, disturbance-immunity benefits of the LoRa physical layer.
